Tim Easter

Tim was born and raised in a small Central Texas town, the County Seat of Falls County: Marlin,TX.

Like many musicians, growing up, he listened to country music on the radio, and the local station there (KLMT- Kountry Luvin Marlin Texas) was a big influence in the direction he chose to sing country music.

Lets start where it really began, of course like most musicians his musical roots were planted in church. He was raised in a very Pentecostal family and music was a very big part of his childhood. He sang in the youth choir, and performed in church plays, and then it happened: Puberty; and music was the farthest thing from his mind. It didn't return to him until High School; junior year, a garage band that Tim was very familiar with called him and asked if he would be interested in joining their band as a "sound man". So, he sat in the wings, running sound; really wanting to sing. He got his chance one night when the Singer/Bass player became ill and couldn't perform. That was all it took, he knew then that music was all he wanted to do. He did such a good job that he was asked to stay on as a singer and no longer a soundman. That lasted about as long as it takes to boil water, actually about 6 months and the band split, and again, music was put on the back burner. Many years went by and in 1996 Tim and his wife moved to the "Big City" of Temple, TX. Not too long after living there a friend approached him about sitting in on a Jam Session; just a bunch of guys in an old farm house, having a good time. Things went so well the guys played a few BBQ's and parties, and things rocked on like that for a while, with different musicians along the way, Heck, they didn't even have a name for themselves, then people starting going their own ways and once again Tim found himself without a band. He thought it just wasn't meant to be, until he met Jimbo Guest (the father of Santa Fe); the original band, of many years, started going their separate ways, due to job and family issues, so Jimbo was without a band also, so a few calls later and a little blood, sweat, and tears "Santa Fe" was reborn, and the rest is History, well so far; "We'll just keep on adding to our Legacy!"

Tim's Hobbies are building old cars and racing, golf, Spending time with his family and of Course, Music.

Tim's favorite songs to sing are "Cadillac Tears", and of course, our Original Music; I love them all.

Jimbo Guest

James Guest ( Jimbo ) Is the manager of the band and plays guitar, fiddle and lead guitar. He also sings lead and back up vocals. He has been at it for many years and has worked with some well known names in this business. He started as a drummer and worked with rock and roll bands in high school. His first band was called The Avanties then he had a chance to set in with a band called Charles Christy and the Christils ( Cherry Pie ) and it was high gear from then on The Expressions,The Classic Four ( Spooky ) While with Charles Christy he started to learn more on the guitar and quit playing the drums. He then formed a band called the Country Expressions and worked the central Texas area . At that time he met Mel Street ( Borrowed Angel ) Mel slowed down and Jim was called to San Saba to form a band called Southern Comfort to back up a cute little red head from Oklahoma, Reba McIntire. For many years they toured all over the country with her. Then he worked with Sylvia ( Drifter ) and Darrel Mc Call and Frinchie Burke. Now Jimbo is dedicated to the Santa Fe Band and spends a lot of time booking and working on new songs for another album. When they are playing Jim always uses his break time to visit with and thank the customers for coming out to see the band. This is important to him and you don't see much of it nowaday's The next time you come out to see the band, ask him to tell you a story about one or two of the road trips he has been on. A lot of them are very funny.

Dave Trueblood

Birth Date: June 5

Place of birth: Lafayette Indiana.

Facts:

I received my first set of drums at Christmas time when I was 12. My mom hid them around the house & I had to solve clues to find them. I set them up like the ones I saw on TV. My favorite music show at that time was The Monkees. I didn't know it until later that I had set them up for left hand playing. When my Mother enrolled me in a music class I learned that I was right hand dominate. My first song I learned was Green Green Grass of Home by Jim Reeves. Our record players speaker was blown so I would listen to the music coming from the needle and then play the song on my drums. I remember my older sister Janet hiding my sticks but I can't remember if she ever got into trouble for it. I also learned the drum solo the same way from a rock Band called Iron Butterfly. The songs title from that record Was "In A Gadda Da Vida" I played at basketball games and school competitions with the school jazz band. I also attempted the Trumpet and Baritone, but the drums were my passion.

Experience:

I played a little while I was stationed in Hawaii. After I came to Texas I brought what drums survived the wait from my tour in the army. I bought the rest from pawn shops to complete my set. I was involved with several heavy rock and classic bands in the 80's. I had the opportunity to tour most of the central Texas areas. In 1986 I started to run sounds for a local singer by the name Mary Jo Pierce and her Precious Few. That opened the world of country music for me. I've been able to be a sound tech. for some major and local acts. The most memorable artist I opened for is George Ducas. Reason for that was that he treated us like we were special. I was with the Outlaws from 1988 to 1992. Bobby Joe Mosley was my best local influence and one of my best friends. After that I joined Diamondback for several years. I started a few projects like Christine Black and the renegades,Octane 420 and The Renegades. Out of two of those projects I am fortunate to be with great musicians with over twenty songs registered in The Library of Congress. I am now the drummer for Santa Fe.
